Age Requirements

• 5–12 years: Earlobes only, after an initial consultation.

• 13+: Ear piercings, industrial, orbital, nostril and septum.

• 15+: Eyebrow and standard lip piercings.

• 16+: Navel, bridge, Mantis, advanced lip and bite piercings.

• 18+: Tongue, nipple, high nostril, microdermal and surface piercings.

Piercing Young Children

Children aged 5–12 must attend an initial consultation before getting pierced. We assess their comfort, understanding, and willingness to proceed.

We never pierce a child who is unwilling or uncomfortable, even with parental consent. If the piercing cannot go ahead, no cancellation fee will apply.

Important: Parental or legal guardian consent is required for all minors. Valid ID may be required, and all piercings are subject to an anatomical assessment.

Preparation may vary depending on the piercing you're getting:

Oral piercings: Brush your teeth before your appointment and maintain good oral hygiene. If possible, avoid eating or drinking anything other than water after brushing.

Ear piercings: Tie your hair back if possible, and avoid wearing large headphones, hats, or accessories that could interfere with the piercing area.

Body piercings: Shower before your appointment and make sure the area to be pierced is clean. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the area and won't put pressure on your new piercing. Avoid applying lotions, oils, or perfumes around the piercing site.

Once the initial swelling has gone down, some piercings may need downsizing. This means replacing the original jewellery with a shorter, better-fitting piece to reduce movement and irritation during healing.

Signs that your piercing may need downsizing:

• The initial swelling has noticeably decreased.

• The jewellery feels too long or sticks out more than before.

• The jewellery moves excessively or gets caught on clothing or hair.

• The extra length causes discomfort or irritation.

When should I downsize?

The timing depends on the piercing and how it's healing. Don't change your jewellery yourself while it's still healing.
