Book a piercing

At Dunkelheit, piercings are performed professionally with a strong focus on hygiene, safety, anatomy, jewellery quality and proper healing.

You can book your piercing directly through our booking system. Each service includes information about the jewellery provided, estimated healing time, age requirements and appointment duration.

Ready to Get Pierced?

Choose your piercing or service through our booking page. There, you can find the specific healing time, included jewellery, age requirement and appointment duration for each service.

If you are unsure which piercing suits your anatomy, which jewellery you need or which service to book, you are always welcome to contact us or book a consultation.

Before Your Appointment

When booking, choose the piercing or service you would like.

At the studio, we first check the area and your anatomy to make sure the piercing can be performed safely and that the chosen placement is suitable for you.

Before the procedure, we will go through placement, jewellery, healing and aftercare.

All piercings are performed using sterile, single-use needles and professional equipment.

Some piercings are highly anatomy-dependent. If your anatomy is not suitable for the placement you booked, we may recommend an alternative placement instead.

Jewellery

New piercings include suitable implant-grade titanium ASTM F-136 healing jewellery
The initial jewellery is selected with enough room to accommodate the swelling that normally occurs during the first stages of healing.

We also offer decorative and premium jewellery for an additional cost.

Once the initial swelling has gone down, some piercings may require downsizing. This means replacing the original jewellery with a shorter, better-fitting piece to reduce unnecessary movement and irritation during healing.

Age Requirements

Age requirements vary depending on the piercing and are based on factors such as placement, healing, anatomy and safety.

As a general guide:

5–12 years. Earlobe piercings only, following an individual consultation and assessment.

13+. Many ear and facial piercings may be available, including earlobes, helix, flat, conch, tragus, rook, daith, nostril, septum and eyebrow.

15+. Additional piercings such as labret, other lip piercings, tongue and similar placements may be available.

16+. Piercings such as belly button, industrial and orbital may be available.

18+. Nipple piercings, dermal anchors, surface piercings, bridge piercings, high nostrils, intimate piercings and selected procedures are strictly 18+.

Please check the individual piercing description when booking, as the age requirement may vary depending on the service.

Valid identification may be required.

Piercing Young Children

We offer earlobe piercings for children from 5 years old.

The minimum age does not automatically guarantee that the piercing will be performed. Every child is assessed individually at the studio, with particular attention to their safety, understanding, willingness and body autonomy.

The child must personally want the piercing and feel comfortable with the procedure.

We will not pierce a child who appears unsure, frightened or does not want to continue, even if a parent or guardian has given permission.

If we decide that it is not appropriate to perform the piercing that day, no cancellation fee will be charged.

For minors, a parent or legal guardian may be required to attend the appointment, and valid identification must be provided.

Healing

Healing time varies depending on the piercing, placement, anatomy, lifestyle and individual healing process.

The healing times shown in our booking system are estimates. A piercing may appear healed on the outside before the tissue inside has completely healed.

Avoid changing your jewellery too early unless advised by your piercer.

For piercings that require downsizing, we recommend returning to the studio once the initial swelling has reduced so we can check the piercing and change the jewellery when appropriate.
